Renowned for his phenomenal speed and explosive power,
He Jing de started practicing wushu at the age of five
in Shandong province. In only two years, he became the
regional champion and went on to win the same title for
six consecutive years. In 1990, he was recruited to the
Henan Professional Wushu Team and began training with
the team. In the 1993 National Wushu Competition, he was
awarded the prestigious ‘WuYing’ (Wushu Hero) medal, the
highest honor received by an athlete for distinguished
accomplishments in wushu. This award confirmed JingDe’s
place in the category of wushu’s most elite performers.
His exceptional talent caught the eyes of Wu Bin, the
legendary Head Coach of the Beijing Wushu Team. He was
selected to the distinguished team as an official team
member in 1994, which had produced many national stars
